Background: Seven Keys Video was a subsidiary of the theatrical distribution company of the same name that was formed in 1981 to sell videos through the niche Australian market. The company went into collapse in 1988, along with its parent company.
1st Logo (1981-1988)[]
Logo: Same as the Seven Keys Films logo, with no video indicator whatsoever.
Variant: There is one variant where "PRESENTS" is absent from the logo.
FX/SFX: Same as the Seven Keys Films logo.
Music/Sounds: Same as the Seven Keys Films logo.
Music/Sound Variants:
- Later releases were silent, or had the movie's theme playing over it, oddly enough.
- Some tapes have the intro to Fire And Ice by Marietta Waters playing over it (and the following copyright warning): Seven Keys was an official video distributor for the film.
Availabilty: Rare; seen on PAL tapes from the period released in Australia and New Zealand, such as Deep Red, Shock Waves, Pumping Iron, Saturday Night Live and Fire and Ice. This is also a de-facto home video logo.
2nd Logo (1983-1986)[]
Nicknames: "Boring 7K/7<", "Always Entertaining", "Not so Entertaining"
Logo: On a blue background, we see a small white 7K logo just like before at the top of the screen with "SEVEN KEYS VIDEO" below it in a futuristic font. The words "Always Entertaining" are wiped below in a neon pink script.
FX/SFX: Computer animation.
Music/Sounds: Just the announcer saying "Seven Keys Video. Always entertaining."
Availability: Seen on later Seven Keys tapes, such as New Gladiators 2072 AD and Stanley.
