1st Logo
(1980s)
Logo: We fade in on a blue background. The word "LETTUCE" (a play on the words "Let Us") in a black Aero Extended font, positioned against a background of lines set against a light brown rectangle with what looks like lettuce to the left with "ENTERTAIN YOU INC." underneath, in a much smaller brownish red font, fades in. After a few seconds, the word PRESENTS, in leaf green, rises up from the bottom of the screen.
FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: Very primitive chyron effects and movements regarding the forming of the logo and the animation of "PRESENTS". Also, who in their right mind would name a company "Lettuce Entertain You"? Were they trying to be funny?
Music/Sounds: Two kettledrum beats, and a little electric piano ditty, which repeats twice throughout the duration of the logo. Some rising string notes can also be heard as well.
Availability: Ultra rare. Seen on old dubbed martial arts films from Canada and some B-movies such as Bruno Mattei's The Other Hell and Woman Warriors.
Scare Factor: Low.
2nd Logo
(1990s?)
Logo: We see a wallpaper-like pattern of the lime green LEY logo from before on a faded beige background. We then fade to a midnight blue background with a large lime green LEY logo zooming in with "LETTUCE" at the bottom of the tube and "ENTERTAIN YOU INC." below it in much smaller type.
FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: The zooming in, as well as the pointless wallpaper pattern at the beginning. It is an improvement over the previous logo though.
Music/Sounds: A '70s funk tune (not the same one from the Tabu Video logo).
Availability: See the previous logo. Was seen on Toxic Spawn a.k.a Comtamination.
Scare Factor: None. The music is less imposing than before.
