Background: KPBS is the San Diego Affiliate for PBS, it use to be an NET Affiliate.

1st logo: (1977-1984)

Nickname: "Glass KPBS", "Was This made Using a Virtual Boy?"

Logo: We see a glass rectangle that sparkles on a black backdrop rotating, then the rectangle stops rotating, the we see KPBS in the rectangle and the words San Diego under the rectangle.

FX/SFX: The logo turning and sparkling.

Cheesy Factor: It looks like it was made using a Virtual Boy.

Music and Sounds: A twinkling sound that sounds very similar to the opening notes to Street Fighter 2 on SNES.

Availability: Rare.

Scare Factor: Low to Medium.

2nd Logo: (1984-1993)

Logo: On a black backdrop we see the KPBS written in Lubalin Graph Bold (Which was the standard font PBS used at the time) which is in blue, words San Diego written in cursive and are yellow and writing themselves out.

FX/SFX: KPBS glowing and San Diego writing out.

Music and Sounds: A horn and piano tune.

Availability: Rare.

Scare Factor: None to Minimal.

3rd Logo: (1993-)

Logo: on a black backdrop we see multiple KPBS signs moving and overlapping each other, then they form one KPBS word then the words San Diego appear.

FX/SFX: The KPBS signs moving and merging and San Diego appearing.

Music and Sounds: A four note trumpet tune that sounds somber.

Availability: Seen on Bloopy's Buddies and Great American Desserts.
