Background: Fox STAR Studios was formed by 20th Century Fox and Asia's STAR TV (both 21st Century Fox subsidiaries) in 2008 to distribute any film from 20th Century Fox in India or produce Bollywood hits such as the recent My Name is Khan. The first film they distributed was Australia, and the first Bollywood movie they distributed was the British-produced Slumdog Millionaire (as Slumdog Corepati).
- Not to be confused with the Fox documentary television division, Foxstar Productions.
- Fox Star Studios did not use a logo until 2010.
(February 12, 2010- )
Nicknames: "The Searchlights", "CGI Searchlights", "Fox STAR Structure", "Majestic Fox STAR Structure"
Logo; The same as the recent logo created by Blue Sky Studios, only the "20th CENTURY FOX" structure is replaced by the "FOX STAR STUDIOS" structure with Star TV's Star logo next to "STAR". Once the structure is complete, the byline "A NEWS CORPORATION COMPANY" fades in below. Starting in 2013, the logo is bylineless.
FX/SFX: Same as the 1994 and 2009 TCF logos.
Music and Sounds: The 1997 recording of the Alfred Newman-composed 20th Century Fox fanfare as performed by the 20th Century Fox Studio Orchestra, conducted by Alfred's son David Newman.
Availability: The logo can be found on any movie distributed by Fox Star Studios in India. It was first shown before My Name is Khan, even before the 20th Century Fox logo (non-US version) or the Fox Searchlight Pictures logo (US version) itself. The still version can be found on the trailers for the said film.
Scare Factor: Low; it can surprise some people who expected the regular 20th Century Fox logo
