Logo: On a dark blue background, a stylized greek letter "alpha" draws by itself. When it is finished, the word "alpha", in lowercase, and in an unusual font, appears.
Variant: After the normal logo, in the same blue background, the phrase "For your further enjoyment, alpha video presents". "Alpha" is stylised in a blocky font with the alpha geek letter boxed on top of the p. "Video" is also stylized, but in a less blocky font. This was also used on the box art for Intervison/Alpha releases.
FX/SFX: Basic animation. The variant just fades in and out.
Cheesy Factor: Outdated animation for it's era.
Music/Sounds: A sample of "Telex" by Derek Scott, featuring a harsh, droning synth tune with synthetic clunks and beeps.
Music/Sounds Variant: On the pre-cert release of Kentucky Fried Movie, and the variant, the logo is silent.
Availability: Extremely rare; seen on very old UK tapes of horror films released through Intervision, particularly Dawn of the Dead.
- Medium to nightmare, due to the synth tune, which perfectly fits the tone of the films it distributes. The scare factor is lower for those used to it; for some, it's even oddly danceable-sounding.
- Silent Variant: None.
- "Presents" Variant: Low. Some people might get scared at the font used in "Alpha".
